OMG, It's 2019 already and this post has been overdue :)) let's take a glance to my fave compact cushion from INNISFREE.
First of all, I need to be more productive in 2019 and write more posts :D furthermore I need to sort only the essentials because I spent too much on beauty products last year. This Innisfree cushion is the older version of the 'matte' finish; it is called "Innisfree Longwear Cover Cushion" whereas the re-formulated product called "Skinny Coverfit Cushion/14g". The texture is more 'heavier' than glowy finish and adheres faster onto your face. This Innisfree cushion comes in customable compact case+cushion refill+cushion sponge, however you can buy separate refill/product based on your need.
The cushion case comes in 2 types: premium case in solid color or bold pattern. Premium cushion case offers distinctive and eye-catching pattern whereas the other selection comes in solid color selection (the color selection arrays from subtle-pastel shade to bold & vivid color). After that, you can choose your cushion finish: Long wear cover/Skinny coverfit (matte finish) or Water fit (glowy finish). After deciding your cushion product, you can choose your suitable applicator: cushion sponge (Air magic puff), Stamping puff, or Cushion brush.
All products sold separately; Cushion case IDR 130.000, cushion refill IDR 180.000 (14g) and cushion sponge IDR 30.000 and available throughout Innisfree's official store and other e-commerce. This cushion shade is #23 True Beige but turns out too pale for my medium skin-tone.
My Innisfree cushion comes as a gift, however it comes in a lovely powdery salmon-pink case. As you can see, there's not much difference between Longwear Cover (matte) refill and Water fit (glowy) refill instead of its description, so please pay attention to the product information or ask the store assistant for your preferred cushion.
There are 8 shades selection in Indonesia Innisfree official store: from the lightest #C13, #C21, #N21, #N23, #N27, #W27, #N31 and the deepest #W33, but most of Indonesian skin tones range from#N27 to #W33

Many of you wonder, how is the Longwear cover performance? This cushion comes in matte finish and adheres fast onto the skin. You only need 1 layer to get naturally matte finish or 2 layers to have (dead-lock) matte. The formula works best for oily skin whereas dry-combination skin like mine might need skin care/moisturizing the skin condition first otherwise the longwear formula might emphasizes flaky and dry blotches. The staying power stays well up to 5-6 hours, sweat-proof and survives in the (extreme) humid climate like Indonesia; but the downside it feels more sticky imo.
#N23 is too pale for me and makes me look ghastly, my warm skin tone turns out more compatible with #N31 or #W33. It has subtle spices fragrance but evaporates upon application. You can wear the cushion solely with its cushion sponge or experience using damp beauty blender for sheer look. In sum, this cushion is formulated for those: who prefer full coverage or has oily skin condition.
*After a quick visit to Innisfree store, I decided to try the glow finish "Water fit cushion" refill and surprisingly the refill fits perfectly with my current case. The main difference between the matte vs. glowy finish is in term of its formula & longevity. Matte finish offers medium-full coverage and stays well up to 6 hours (yet often creates built-up under my eyes), whereas Glowy finish gives you medium coverage, stays well up to 4-5 hours but easily smear-off comparing the Matte finish. I prefer Water fit cushion (Glowy finish) than matte finish because I rarely wear it during my long-office hours and opt for my lazy-weekend. How about you? Have you ever tried it by yourself?
