Been a while since I post the last Music Compilation in April (If I'm not mistaken). May I proudly announce you that last May was the month of Shiina Ringo-san; first reason for her latest single " いろはにほへと" and second reason for the looooooonng awaited Shiina Ringo-san channel on Youtube: SheenaRingoVEVO, or SR Official.
Finally, there is one stop channel to view and listen most of her singles in Youtube :3 Barely I can't stop shrieking when I found out her channel in Youtube. Why should be Harugon? She is KAWAII! So cute! Witty! Funny! Love her easy-going character. Despite the fact she barely can't speak Indonesia, she mingles very well with other JKT48 members. Also respect her attitude when Atsuko Maeda (AKB48) has scandal after Atsuko's graduation party.

What do you think about JKT48? KAWAII-DESU YO! They are so cute, especially Harugon :3 they proudly admit that they're the sister group of Japan's biggest idol: AKB48. Comparing to other Indonesian girl band, Hello Cherr*Bell*, which is often called as imposter, they have their own trademark by making innocent & cute student image plus they has some guts to face against Korean-Hallyu mainstream. Even though my auntie said I'm way too old to be their fan, I think I'm not the only one :P
First impression? When I saw Melody at TV, I was like "Wow, she is charismatic. I like the way she behaves." but it turned out I adore Harugon so much :')
Fact or fiction? I am scared of vvota. I mean it. It's fact :/

DJ Kawasaki is a somewhat a newcomer, a rookie if you will. However shortly after he released his debut album "Beautiful" in fall of 2006, he became a staple and a new ambassador for Japanese club and dance music. He usually makes his own original compositions in music in addition to remixing other people’s songs. The reason why I call him Mr. MPC 3000 is that he is known for using an Akai MPC 3000 drum machine for making his fabulous beats. cited :last.fm/DJ Kawasaki
In my opinion he has unique house/dance music scene by successfully mixing house with soulful music into his tunes. According to his official Facebook Page, he listed his genre as HOUSE/CROSSOVER. Wow, such a genius term. Nevertheless, his music ingredients not only limited to House, he countably added musical instrument such as Trumpet as his typical tune.
In addition, he often featuring with surprising act like Lena Fujii, Tasita D'Amour, Lori Fine, COMA-CHI, etc and gives fresh sound than any other typical House/Dance music DJ. Actually, one of my favorite song from him is [Paradise] feat. COMA-CHI, but due to restricted distribution from EMI Music Japan, unfortunately I can't upload/show you here.

Daishi Dance (ダイシ・ダンス) is a male Japanese DJ born in 1976.
Daishi Dance performs in the heart of Sapporo, creating melodious house
mixes that feature vocals conveying grief and discontent, and using
three turn tables in a hybrid DJ style. Daishi Dance has performed at
many events with artists such as Studio Apartment and FreeTEMPO. He has performed at CLUB YELLOW, in Roppongi,
as well as with Morita Masananori of Studio Apartment, as the duet
“MUSeUM", which performs at many regular events in the club. Since
March, 2008, Daishi Dance has performed at the club ageHa, in Shinkiba, Tokyo-

I do agree with Wikipedia, since most of his songs often sound sad or should I call it melodic-dance house music? Comparing to DJ Kawasaki, DD mainly perform live in Northern part of Japan precisely in Sapporo area. He is also mainly active user of Youtube, or any other social media activity not forget to mention his 'active' Discography since 2006. His typical music mix house with classical instrument especially Piano; could be listening at his released album compilation entitled "The P.I.A.N.O. set"

Waddya think? Obviously they are the only two DJs I wanted to see live: fresh from Japan. Even though you are not House/Dance music scene party animal, at least you should (once) try listening to them in order to enrich your variety of music genre. Isn't it right, dear reader?

Some of you might wonder who is Shiina Ringo?; let me tell you briefly. Shiina Ringo-san (椎名林檎) is notably known as Japanese singer-songwriter, music producer, and music composer. Most of her music genre are coalition of Rock, Punk Rock, Alternative Rock, Experimental Rock, Chamber music, Chanson, Jazz, Big Band, Bossa Nova, Adult contemporary, Funk, Hip Hop, Electronica, Kayokyoku, Enka *phew* She is prominent within and outside Japan for her brilliant and eclectic song writing-composing style.
In 2004 she formed Rock band entitled 'Tokyo Jihen' or Tokyo Incidents (東京事変) but finally disbanded on February 2012. Mean while, Tokyo Jihen more likely influenced by Rock, Jazz, and Pop genre, somehow they're still worth listening to. One of prominent music producers, Seiji Kameda-san (亀田誠治) also participated in the band as a bassist. Tokyo Jihen was under the labels of EMI Music Japan(distributor)/Virgin Music (label) from 2004–2012 with their first single 'Gunjou Biyori' or Ideal Days for Ultramarine (群青日和) released in 2004. However, the one that caught my attention is 'Sounan' or A Distress (遭難) that once aired in subscribed-Television 'Animax'.
For those who still wondering what they look and sound like...may I have your honor to take a bow for them.

I am a HUGE fan of Shiina Ringo-san and Tokyo Jihen. Been listening to them since 10 years ago and can't wait to hear more of their masterpiece. There are (still) more of their fabs songs in the net, unfortunately not all songs are having their own video on Youtube and EMI Music Japan is likely so restricted in preserve their copyright. Anyhow, I will update later and don't forget to try listening them for more *promote*. If you never heard them, then you should check your You Tube website. It's as easy as snaps your finger. Taka's has colic voice which gives uniqueness to their musicality. Whilst most Japanese rock bandssing entirely in Japanese, a lot of the first verse of their songs were sung in English, quite different from common Japanese rock bands; which made them being one-of-a-kind.

They've just released their 6th Studio Album entitled「Jinsei x Boku= 」 (Jinsei Kakete Boku wa)on 2013.02.06 with their hit single「 The Beginning 」 By the time I saw the video I was entirely love at the first sight with the band! This is their hit single which caught my heart, ONE OK ROCK - 「 The Beginning 」! Yoroshiku!

For those anime or J-Pop addict, I will submit a post regarding Japanese notable contemporary-illustrator whose famous for his signature artwork. If you aware with some of his artworks in one of Japanese notable rock band's cover jacket, you gotta know him easily...
Do you fond of Asian Kung-Fu Generation (later on will be mentioned AKFG)? Do you pay attention to AKFG's Album cover / Single cover? Do you fond of the illustration of AKFG's albums/singles? Have you ever seen below picture before? Then you should meet the well-known illustrator: 中村佑介, Nakamura Yūsuke.

I have troubles when finding information about him since: I can't speak Japanese, many refers Nakamura Yusuke as Japanese football player (what???) and even a medical professor. However, this Nakamura Yusuke-san is eminent for his contemporary illustration with his signature style: Black & White with a hint of shocking colors. Most of his subject of the illustration are young girls, well, even a glints of another subjects such as animals & males often appear. AKFG is his long standing fan of which always (more than often) use his artwork as the cover jacket of their Albums and Singles.

Nakamura-san was born in Takarazuka, 1978, from an architect father and children's designer mother, whereas nowadays he lives in Osaka, as you can read in his website:
He also illustrates for other art project. Further more, you can easily recognize him for his one-of-a-kind bowl cut hair style *smirk*.

I couldn't agree more of his WHIMSICAL, FRESH & BOLD artworks since the first time I saw his artwork at AKFG's cover jacket. His artworks are a fresh inspiration for youth soul who's looking for ideas and brand new innovations. I can assure you, imagine yourself entering the world of Oz, his artworks will surprise and entertain you in a way that other artists can't. I should say: I'm a fan. FYI: Seiji Kameda-san is a Japanese music producer, arranger and bass guitarist notably known for his music project with Shiina Ringo and Tokyo Jihen, whereas he also composes, arranges, music producer for other well-known Japanese artists such as L’Arc en Ciel etc. For me, he is one of a kind musician, alike Shiina Ringo. He is definitely one of Japanese 音楽の神様 (God of Music).

It's hardly to express my feeling especially when I'm feeling down. The best that I can do is listening to songs that relate to my certain situation (sometimes also crying). How about you? First of all, Tokyo Jihen - Les Adultes Terribles; 東京事変 - 恐るべき大人達,top of the top. Pay attention to the lyric; man never satisfies. Once I had a relationship with a man who always makes a reason for everything he does. I remember he told me that his mother wants his girlfriend or future wife using religious-attribute; a thing that hardly to be forced by other people. Recently, I just realize that's only his excuse to avoid commitment. So what if wishes come true for you? :
Second, Sara Bareilles - Gravity. Love sucks. Especially if you fall for a wrong person. No matter how hard you tried to avoid your feeling, your heart will lead you to the start. It's not like a algebra that needs your logic; your feeling always use your heart instead your brain. Full stop. Best step to move on; accept the reality, even it hurts and makes your heart need a pain killer, well at least you are living your own life, not the idea of your expected love life.
Third, Super Junior - It's You, 슈퍼주니어 - 너라고 ; Yes, they are Korean boy band. Yes, they sing platonic sentimental love song. Yes, they also dance while singing the song. At least they tell you to be honest about who's inside your heart.
Fourth, 2NE1 - It Hurts, 2NE1 - 아파 ; just listening to the melody could make me cry. Whilst the video concept is extraordinary and whimsical yet the male model looks mesmerizing. When I found out the meaning, I sobbed to sleep. One sentence makes realize "You're not mine anymore". Sometimes, things we used to have are no longer belong to us anymore; nothing lasts forever. Even it's abstractly known as 'Love'.
Fifth, BoA - Only One; I was fooled. I thought it was a song about a person madly in love, since the PV concept was a dance version and most sentences in the lyric are Korean. Who will think actually it's a sorrowful song?; a song about a person who couldn't forget his/her past. Damn. This one stabbed me so hard: When will my head erase you? (I will let you go). And someday in your memories, I won’t live in it, you will erase me...
Once famous Indonesian musician said "we can love a person in only one minute, but it takes forever to forget them". Damn, damn, damn.
Sixth, Shiina Ringo - Akane Sasu Kiro Terasaredo, 椎名 林檎 - 茜さす 帰路照らされど・・・ (translation: When It Begins to Get Dark…) First time I heard this song on the way back home in a quiet train. The song had been played in my playlist but I didn't realize it's soulful meaning. I was there in a blank condition (after a quarrel) in which I didn't realize my surrounding until this lyric catch my attention:

Seventh, Iwan Fals - Yang Terlupakan (The Forgotten One) : Finally, I listed Indonesian song on the list. Iwan Fals is one of Indonesian legendary musician, he is known for his honest and undeniable lyric. Mostly are concerning about social and life aspects but then once he made a love song, and boom, became an anthem for broken hearted. The melodic rhythm caught my attention but then the lyric itself that stabbed *jleb* me in the heart. For Indonesian can barely understand it's meaning, but foreigners need Google Translate to find out it's meaning.

Eighth, Iwan Fals - Senandung Lirih (Sorrowful Chant) : The lyric! Iwan Fals' sultry voice makes this song more "jleb" stabbing than any other love songs. Actually this song is dedicated to a woman from a man, but I consider it vice-versa. Once I was head over heels for this man. I admired him for everything he has but he didn't love me equally in return. I love him too much. He always seeks another value missed in me to another women; I can't stand it anymore. Not every love story has happily-ever-after-ending. The last thing I know that (seems like) he still keeps looking the 'values' he searched for in every woman. One thing for sure: Nobody's perfect. I only hope him the best :

Ninth, Ilaria Graziano - Pearls : A beautifully song arranged by Yoko Kanno 菅野 よう子 and sung by Ilaria Graziano. Yoko Kanno-san is widely known as anime music's composer, arranger and musician. While Ilaria Graziano is a Italian singer who works mostly in Kanno's anime musical projects. No wonder this song is inserted as a insert song for Cowboy Bebop Cowboy: Bebop Tank! THE! BEST! album. However, if you found out the song's translation actually it's another broken hearted song yet beautifully arranged into a classical, soulful and jazzy song. I'm a huge fan of Yoko Kanno and I must say: one of my favorites.

Tenth, last but not least Four Get Me A Nots - Ways: Frankly, I never thought life could turn out to be far from our expectation. When I said "I was over you, dear", I never thought this could be real. It was just another threaten but when time goes by I realized that's how do I feel. I want a better life. Being with a wrong person in a wrong moment could destroy your life rapidly. I always think what goes wrong and how to fix it but ignoring another crucial aspects in my life. I realize he didn't feel and want the same thing, so what's the purpose of holding on scattered pains?
I believe everything happens for a reason. If he keeps hurting me, it means I'm the fooled one to keep believing that someday he will turn into a better person. Never expects a man to change; unless he wants it. The least I can do is left him for our goodness. Maybe I'm not good enough for him or even he is not good enough for me. To be honest, I want to maintain our friendship, but according to my previous experience he barely can't professionally keep friendship-relationship with his Ex *duh*. What I give to him is a freedom to choose; he should take a risk in everything he chose. I try to look ahead now, move on. If one day we accidentally meet each other, all I want to say is (as a part of his past and vice-versa) : "How are you? I hope your life is happy."
