ROMAND Glasting Water Tint in 08 Rose Stream

ROMAND Glasting Water Tint is a beautiful rendition of classic glossy lip.

ROMAND
Glasting Water Tint
08 Rose Stream
✨️
Newest addition in my stash: ROMAND Glasting Water Tint in 08 Rose Stream is a warm rose color that matches perfectly for any skin tones. The product comes in a tube with pointy-tip applicator and has an excellent formula. It delivers a lightweight formula that has buildable pigmentation and doesn't leave you with a sticky nor heavy feeling.

PHOTOS
ROMAND Glasting Water Tint is a pilot collection from the glossy-tint series. It offers 8 shades range in a vibrant hues.
  • 01 CORAL MIST
  • 02 RED DROP
  • 03 BRICK RIVER
  • 04 VINTAGE OCEAN
  • 05 ROSE SPLASH
  • 06 PURPLE SHOWER
  • 07 PINK VALLEY
  • 08 ROSE STREAM (warm rose-pink; versatile for all skin tones)
The tube comes in a matching color and transparent cap with a glossy finish. Its shade info is written clearly on the side and bottom of the tube. All products are made in Korea, 4 gr net product, retailed price ranged from IDR 129.000~185.000 (KRW 16.000), and already available in ROMAND official store in Indonesia.

TEXTURE
Tinted liquid-gloss but feels like gel-wise texture; not the heavy-oily feeling

FINISH
Semi-opaque coverage with a glossy finish

PIGMENTATION
Rose Stream is a warm rose-pink color that goes well for every skin tone

FORMULA
Gloss finish with staining formula. This product doesn't leave you with sticky feeling instead gives you a light-weight feeling. It covers dark lip very well and won't accentuate your lip lines

LONGETIVITY
Normal staying power for a glossy finish; the glossy finish will transfer or smear off over the time or after meal but expect more for the stain formula

MY VERDICT?
Surprisingly, Glasting Water Tint has a local dupe that similar in terms of formula: Rosé All Day Lip Tint in "Opera Night". It delivers a vivid wet-look color on your lips while keeps your lip moisturized. When the gloss is already gone, the subtle stain finish will give your lip a healthy & rosy effect ❤️

08 Rose Stream is a versatile shade; found many compliments about the color pay-off and how it creates a glossy MLBB 💋 From all ROMAND lip collection, I think this product deserves a winning. For more swatch and review please check Lippielust review here.

ROMAND Glasting Water Tint Hanbok Collection (Discontinue)

A must have Limited Edition from ROMAND

「K-Heritage : Hanbok Project」 was launched late 2020 as a limited edition capsule collection in collaboration with Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation inspired by Korean traditional culture marriage with a romantic-pastel color packaging

Hanbok Project series by romand is inspired by harmony of hanbok, a traditional woman cloth in Korea, that symbolizes the feminine-visual aspect of woman and utility of traditional wear that able to stand against the time. The limited edition consists of point makeup products (lip products, dual blush-highlighter, eyeshadow pallete, & cushion foundation) encased in soft pastel hues packaging.

Basically, ROMAND Hanbok project has the same formula with romand pilot products but (marketed) encased in a limited edition pastel packaging contrary to their standard vivid color packaging.

Glasting Water Tint product offers a glossy, liquid tint product encased in a glossy tube with a pointy tip applicator (not much different from the original Glasting Water Tint design). There are total 4 shades in the collection, each shade is a continuous numbering from the original Glasting Water Tint product:
  • 10 Chija Beige; a light orange-beige shade (the least pigmented among the collection)
  • 11 Pumpkin Brown; a deep brown-orange
  • 12 Omija Red; a warm red
  • 13 Berry Violet; a cool magenta-berry
Applicator tip comes in a pointy tip

My Verdict?
Glasting water tint is a water-based stain that delivers a comfortable stain with oompfh of gloss. Except 13 berry violet, all other shades are warm-toned shades. All swatches done under direct sunlight. It has liquid-gel texture but doesn't feel sticky or tacky; it feels so light-weight on your lips and glides smoothly. Longevity is moderate; the gloss fades away easily but the stain stays almost forever. Pigmentation is superb; once the stain stays it stays forever plus it doesn't drying out your lips.

However, only 10 Chija Beige that turns me down, the pigmentation is weak and doesn't fully cover dark lips (like mine) but works nicely for people with rosy/light toned lip. The Glasting Water Tint shades pigmentation range goes from the lighest shade (10 chija beige) to the boldest shade (13 berry violet). Another beauty blogger review said their color range is limited to fair-skin tone only.

BPOM approved.
Netto 4g, Made in Korea, retailed for IDR 125-165K (discontinued)

Final Thought
MUST HAVE. Superb formula. Great price. And versatile Limted-edition pastel packaging. I wish romand would make it as their permanent collection. Unfortunately, this collection is already discontinue 🥺 have you tried their K-heritage limited edition collection?

ROMAND Juicy Lasting Tint in 06 FigFig

A sparkling juicy tint in a vibrant color infused with a moisturizing and long-lasting formula.

ROMAND (often stylized as "ROM&ND") is a Korean makeup brand which established back in 2016 founded by celeb-gram makeup artist Saerom Min or also known as Gaeko. Her beauty line becomes a viral sensation overnight among K-beauty fans and able to positioned itself among big names e.g. Etude & Innisfree for its daily-wearable formula with attractive girly-infused-modern concept. No wonder ROMAND crawl rapidly to the top thanks to Saerom's influence in visual art major from Inha University and certified national colorist which establish the brand to create a distinguished and attractive concept among the K-beauty market (#girlboss) source.

At first, ROMAND was launched with a modern-luxurious concept but its initial concept difficult to penetrate in Korean market, therefore they drift its concept circa 2018 to follow the market trend to an aesthetically modern meets vibrant style dosed with high-quality formula supported with excellent Instagram/SNS marketing. Their "Zero Velvet Tint" series finally able to gain loyal fans but their popular products "Juicy Lasting Tint" and "Glasting Water Tint" are the one that establish cult follower.

While in Indonesia, ROMAND finally succeeded to establish their official (and also unofficial) online store thanks to ROMAND cult follower in here. ROMAND Indonesia already obtained BPOM license and only available via online shop.
PHOTOS
My first take: Juicy Lasting Tint.

Retailed varied from IDR 130.000 in ROMAND ID official store (KRW 13.000 in Korea), for net product 5,5g, encased in a vibrant-monochrome tube that comes in each representing shade with a doe-foot applicator. Each shade is named and inspired from fruit (or culinary) color such as FigFig, Jujube, Cherry Bomb, etc.

According to ROMAND official KR website, Juicy Lasting Tint has various sub-series: Original series, Autumn fruit series, Sparkling series, Ripe fruit series, Bear juicy series, and so on.

Juicy Lasting Tint delivers a glossy shine, blends with brilliant lipstick payoff, and formulated with a long-wearing stain result. The product comes in semi-opaque glossy liquid with a sniff of fruity fragrance.

The product has semi-opaque pigmentation and able to cover dark-pigmented lip. When freshly applied, the product gives lacquered-like gloss, after certain period of time the gloss smears off and leaves a stain that can sink into lip lines. The texture is not so watery nor creamy, it feels like milky-gloss hybrid.

06 Figfig is a very flattering shade; a mauve-red that match well to every skin-color. The shade is almost similar to YSL Vernis a Levres Water Stain #613 Cascade Bordeaux (a deep red-wine shade) when applied sheer or only 1 swipe. However, YSL texture has more watery tendency than ROMAND.

My Verdict?
Great product. Period. ROMAND Juicy Lasting Tint doesn't fail to impress me; aside from the excellent formula performance, the only downside IMO is the applicator scent after being used. I have the same experience also with A'Pieu applicator; truth to say, your lipstick applicator will get dirty after direct contact with your lips, noticeably it creates unpleasant scent after several applications, so cleanse regularly. Furthermore, layering issue: when you tried to layer another product after meal or after several hours, the finish looks a bit uneven and bit patchy. However, if you add another layer when it's freshly applied, it blends well and add depth of pigmentation. So, time frame is the key, since the stain will absorb into the lip after period of time. Staining power is superb, even though has to go through heavy-meal phase (lunch or dinner), it still leaves a visible stain. You may use oil-based cleanser to remove all residue but it's not that difficult comparing to other tinted product.

Overall, ROMAND Juicy Lasting Tint offers a great range of color (from warm-mauve to cool-pink) with moisturizing and long-lasting formula. Price-wise is affordable for a great quality product. Package concept looks attractive for those who like playful concept. If you're looking for a stained-gloss hybrid with affordable price then this product is for you.

MISSHA Modern Shadow Italprism (Discontinue)

A single block eye shadow with the finest formula ever made.

MISSHA Modern Shadow Italprism was first launched back in 2017 and came in (around) 25 shades with 3 different finish: matte, shimmer, and glitter.

The pressed eye shadow is encased in a luxurious rose-gold case with transparent cover lid and pressed into a simple rattan-woven pattern texture. Made in Italy with 1,5g net content and retailed for about Won 12.800 (but luckily I got it for Won 9.900 for 3 products!) Bought it in Olive Young in 2019 and the formula stays preserved & good even after 3 years *laugh*

According to Yesstyle: "Shimmery, single-shadow tins deliver a rich pigment to eyelids for a foolproof look."

It is formulated for an easier application and suitable for both beginner and for advanced gradient look; one swipe is enough to show the color pay-off but also works to blend with two or more colors.

The product was first advertised by Son Ye-Jin to captivate a glamour yet effortless look. Since the product is manufactured in Italy, so Missha emphasizes the concept by coining Italy (manufacturing country) + Prism (formula finish; multi-color result) to accentuate its product formulation. Since this product no longer manufactured, you can only check its information in here (Missha KR) and here (Missha MY).

Unfortunately, the promo bundle is only for 3 selected shades with the same shimmery finish: #3 Glam Suit, #5 Balloon Dress, & #6 Rose Corsage.

#3 Glam Suit: A neutral champagne shade
#5 Ballon Dress: A rose-copper shade
#6 Rose Corsage: A deep copper shade

Texture
Smooth & buttery; the pressed powder is surprisingly glide sooo easily over eye lids, plus the color pay-off is absolutely great! Easy to use with brush or fingertips. Nevertheless, the pressed powder surface is the first thing that captivated your attention; the visually striking rattan-woven pattern looks so beautiful and lavish, and once you apply into your eyes the fine formula creates a grandiose, vivid shimmery finish.

Formula
Great color pay-off & staying power. The color pay-off is already great with or without primer (swatches above is without primer) and all 3 chosen shades will stay intact with minimum smearing even after exposed to sweat. Staying power could last up to 6 hours. Minimum fall-out even though using brush. It creates a rich

Packaging
Glamour yet compact and travel-friendly; the sophisticated rose-gold metallic case creates an opulent feeling enriched with the striking rattan-woven pattern.

My Verdict?
Best. Single eye-shadow. Ever. The formula. The luxurious case. The pressed powder pattern. All of it. Unfortunately, ItalPrism seems to discontinue and hard to find in the retail stores. I wish ItalPrism could stay as Missha permanent eye product.
