ZA Perfect Fit Two-Way Foundation OC30

For some people, powder foundation might be their biggest turn-down for covering spots and acne marks, but with a good start-up skin and finding correct formula for your skin type, it could turn an inadvertent result into your flattering 2nd layer skin.

First thing first, powder foundation always steer to matte finish. Means, if you're oily-prone skin, powder foundie is your best friend to reduce grease whereas dry-combination skin might do some tricks to retain emollient. I've rounded up prominent powder foundation for dry-combination like mine and ZA Perfect Fit Two-Way Foundation suits me best. Without further ado, let me break it down for you what's the product is all about.

ZA Perfect Fit Two-Way Foundation (I will shorten it to "Two-Way Fit" for God's shake) is the main range from ZA's make-up line. Formulated with Collagen, SPF 20 PA++ (to prevent from sunburn & premature aging) and Hyaluronic Acid, Two-Way Fit concerns to create pore-less yet natural finish look while maintaining skin's moisture. Furthermore, it is promoted with Micro-Fine Powder and Anti-Shine formula to achieve naturally radiant finish.

The case and the refill sold separately; good news if you just want to buy the refill when it's already hit the pan. I got it from final reduction sale for only IDR 50.000 in Indonesia and not sure whether ZA will re-launch their product again.

The powder is equipped with free sponge and encased in Hot-Pink packaging; the pan is equipped with double-end sellotape to attach it into the case. They offer variant shade for Asian skin-tone and distinct it into 2 main shades: Pink Beige for pale/cold skin-tone and Yellow Beige for tan/warm skin-tone with total 8 distinctive shades provided. FYI, according to the BA OC 20 & 30 are the most flattering shade for warm-skin tone Asian. Made in Taiwan.

More details about this product taken from the packaging:
ZA Perfect Fit Two-Way Foundation (Refill)
  • Smooth, micro-fine powders spread evenly over the skin. Minimizes the appearance of pores, uneven skin tone and dullness.
  • Contains collagen, vitamin E, and moisturizing ingredient hyaluronic acid.
  • Gives a lasting bright finish. Anti-shine powder absorbs excess sebum to prevent shine and stickiness.
Dermatologist-tested.
Note: Reducing the amount applied will lower the level of protection significantly. Recommended for use with products with UV protection of SPF 15 or higher. The indicated sun protection level was measured by the quantity of 2mg per 1 square centimeter in conformity with the authorized Sun Protection Factor Test Method. Avoid direct contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water. Do not stay too long in the sun while using a sunscreen product. Reapply as needed, after perspiring or towel-drying skin, to maintain sun protection.
Well, such a long and thorough details for a product.

My Verdict?
Love ZA's powdery yet moisturizing formula; thanks to collagen and hyaluronic acid, the moisturizing formula doesn't create cakey finish but more likely matte result with a light-medium coverage. Do not expect heavy coverage, this powder foundation covers and blends dark spot and redness very well but not for under-eyes department. As you can see, my horrible under-eyes circle wasn't concealed very well. Swatch above shows you moisturizer and ZA Two-Way Fit alone. Meanwhile, if you apply light-weight foundation like 'Borjouis Healthy Mix Fruit' in advance followed by ZA Two-Way Fit powder gives you medium-heavy finish. Mediocre lasting power whereas liquid + powder foundation combination will give you longer staying power. Fragrance-free and my most favorable things: doesn't feel cakey and tolerable (read: minimal) sebum excess. Too bad my ZA Two-Way Fit case was broken and couldn't find one until today so I have to bring only the refill all the way :( What do you think? What's your favorite powder foundation to date?
